The night of power was granted to our beloved prophet and his Ummah, when prophet(pbuh) pleaded with Allah(swt) that earlier generations had a life span of hundreds of years and his Ummah's life span was 60 odd years. This wud result in Muslims falling short in prayer and devotion in comparison to people, who lived longer, before Islam was re-established. 1000 months equal approx 83 years. This is the greatest achievement any muslim can obtain to improve his deeds...
Other great sawaabs which are multiplied are:
1 act of charity by muslim equals 10 times.
1 Prayer at grand mosque at Makkah = 1000 prayers. No other place of worship/or mosque on this earth has been granted this status.
Performing Umrah in Ramadan, preferably in the last 10 days is like doing Haj with Prophet(pbuh). Hence the rush at Makkah during ramadan, which even exceeds the crowd of haj pilgrims.
Observe fast on monday and thursday, as the deeds for the week go to heaven on those days. Any sins incurred, will get nullified, for the individual only.
